Adult MASTERS Swim Team

Aspire Aquatics of Colorado is pleased to offer an adult MASTERS swim team to Southeast Denver Metro, aligned with our mission of #CreatingCommunity.  Our Masters swim program is year-round, with rolling membership to join anytime.  Please email [email protected] with your interest. 


Practices takes place at the neighborhood 6-lane Chapparal Pool located at 7124 S Chapparal Cir E Centennial, CO 80016 (2 minutes east of the intersection at Arapahoe and Parker Road). Other pools may be used. Starting Tuesday May 30th, swimmers are offered 2 practices a week every Tuesday 8:00pm - 9:00pm and Saturdays from 6:00am - 7:00am.

Registration and Fee Information: 

1. On the  Aspire Masters Swimming event page, choose “Register Online" in the upper right hand corner.

2. Register through our system to show interest in the program.  You will pay a one time $65 registration fee at this time. If you have a current USMS ID#, please enter it during registration. Monthly due is $95. 

3. Confirm your account via email and add our email domain to your “Not Junk” folder [email protected]

4. Once you are registered with us, you will then register with US Masters Swimming. 

5. US Masters Swimming: Prior to getting in the pool with our program, you must register with US Masters swimming HERE. Cost for annual membership with US Masters is an annual $60.00 (subject to change and set by US Masters) and is separate from any Aspire Aquatics Fees.  You will be required to provide your USMS ID# prior to getting in the pool with Aspire Aquatics and you will be required to show your physical USMS ID to the coach on your first day of practice. Registration is very fast and you will have the ability to print out an id card when you register.

Withdrawal from the program requires a 30-day written notice to [email protected].

Target Athletes:

We encourage adult swim athletes of all abilities to join this wonderful community. Our MASTERS program supports a wide range of athletes from casual swimmers that are incorporating swimming into their health regiment to competitive swimmers that desire to compete in USA MASTERS meets. Swimmers are organized into training group based on ability and coached accordingly. Swimmers should be able to swim across length of the pool.


Aspire Aquatics of Colorado MASTERS program is pleased to have Coach Karen Ammon and Coach Chris Adams. Coach Karen is the Head Coach and the owner of Aspire Aquatics of Colorado.

Coach Karen serves as the head coach of Aspire Aquatics of Colorado and a coach of the Masters program. Karen's impact in the community is broad and far-reaching, currently serving as the head coach of the Grandview High School Girls’ swim team, and the head coach of the Mountain Hi Swim League (MHSL) Wheatlands Sharks swim team.

Spanning 27 years of coaching experience, Coach Karen has coached all abilities of swim athletes from water safety and learn to swim programs to National Top 16 age group swimmers and High School All Americans. Prior to founding Aspire Aquatics, she most recently served for 15 years as the 9/10 Age Group coach and Director of Age Group Development for Colorado Stars. 

Coach Karen brings an undeniable love and discipline of the sport to her swim athletes, swim families, and community.  Her respectful, disciplined, and nurturing approach to teaching swim excellence develops the performance excellence, character, leadership, and team camaraderie of her athletes and feeds their growth mindset. She has earned the broad respect and loyalty of her athletes, swim families, and CSI community.

Coach Karen is married to Dale Ammon, well known in the Colorado swim and USA Swimming communities in his roles as official, CSI Board Member, Western Zone Non-Coach Director, and member of USA Swimmer Board of Directors. She and Dale have raised four children, all swimmers and young coaches who graduated from Grandview High School and various universities. She now has two lovely grandchildren to spoil and care for.
